As the 2.5 Gbps data rate, the OC-48 version joins the SunSet OCx product family to offer service providers and equipment manufacturers unparalleled versatility and test choices from DS0 to OC-48c. The new technology incorporated into the SunSet OCx family brings true handheld convenience to the threshold of the network core. The handheld OCx includes a broad range of SONET/BERT transmission analysis and service verification capabilities that are found in no other single piece of equipment, regardless of size. A color screen and logical operator interface structure mean that the OCx is easy to use and requires a minimum of training to begin utilizing its powerful features. Demonstrations are set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2000 with shipments scheduled for the first quarter of 2001.
