eBuilt Expands Its Southern California Presence with New Offices in San Diego County - California - Brief Article

Information Superhighways Newsletter, Oct, 2000

eBuilt Inc has expanded its operations into San Diego County. The company's Vista Sorrento office is part of its corporate strategy to bring top-notch e-services to growing regional markets.

"Our new Vista Sorrento location brings us one step closer to dominating the e-services field in Southern California and bringing a host of technology resources to the entire area," Mike Dewey, CEO of eBuilt, said. "San Diego-based businesses will now be able to tap into those resources and step out in front in the e-business market."

The company's new office is located at 10509 Vista Sorrento Parkway, Suite 120, near the University of California at San Diego and adjacent to Qualcomm's headquarters. The office space spans approximately 20,000 square feet and features a recreation room and a gym -- designed to keep the facility fun and energetic.

eBuilt chose an "organic" architectural design, a large open area, in which desks and work areas can be moved or placed anywhere in the entire open space, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

The facility will house all three of eBuilt's divisions: eServices, which designs and builds custom Web infrastructures; ePlans, which provides c-business plan authoring and enhancement services; eLabs, which conceives, incubates, and launches eBuilt's own products and services for the Internet.

eBuilt chose to open in San Diego County because of the region's emerging technology market. "As a leading center for wireless technologies, the employee base and potential client base makes San Diego a very attractive market," Jeff Lenardson, executive vice president and co-founder of eBuilt, said. "A key strategic focus for eBuilt is mobile application development and providing clients with Web-enabled wireless applications."
