Lagarde partners with Worldpay Inc. to provide integrated e-commerce solutions to global online merchants - E-Commerce - Brief Article - Statistical Data Included

LaGarde, a provider of SME e-commerce software and services worldwide, and WorldPay Inc., a leader in multi-currency transaction processing, announced a strategic partnership intended to further expand the availability of e-commerce payment solutions for global online merchants.

The partnership integrates support for WorldPay's international transaction processing services into LaGarde's StoreFront e-commerce platform. The integration adds to LaGarde's list of supported payment solutions and its continuing dedication to provide e-commerce solutions that meet the varied needs of international merchants. In addition to support for the WorldPay payment gateway, StoreFront allows for the operation of web stores in all windows languages and currencies, and two-tier tax systems are supported for countries with multi-level tax structures, such as country tax, VAT and PST/GST. StoreFront also provides built-in support for real-time currency conversion of over 140 currencies. The integrated support of WorldPay's transaction processing services enables StoreFront merchants to process transactions online in more than 90 countries in 120 currencies.

Since its inception, LaGarde has been committed to extending its global market reach and now boasts more than 25,000 StoreFront web stores in over 70 countries, with 18 percent of LaGarde's 2000 revenues derived from overseas markets. The WorldPay alliance enables LaGarde to further expand its international scope by allowing StoreFront merchants to easily connect with the WorldPay payment processing gateway.
