According to the Fall 2001 Ownership Report from Knowledge Networks and Statistical Research, 64 percent of homes in the US with two or more PCs had rented a VHS tape in the month prior to the study, compared to 34 percent of homes with no computer. Additionally, the study found that 31 percent of houses with two or more PCs pay $50 or more per month for cable or satellite service, as opposed to just 15 percent of homes with no PCs.
In terms of homes with or without Internet access, 57 percent with the net had rented a VHS tape in the month prior to the study and only 37 percent of those without the net had as well. Twenty-five percent of US homes with the Internet pay premium prices for cable service, compared to just 15 percent of homes without Internet access that do as well.
