Borland Announces New e-Learning Series - Brief Article - Product Announcement
Information Superhighways Newsletter, May, 2001
Borland Software Corp., a provider of e-business implementation platform solutions, announced a new suite of interactive training classes, the Borland e-Learning Series, offered in multimedia CD-ROM format and later through the Borland Web site. The initial offering in this series, Java Productivity with JBuilder is now available in English.
Borland is now expanding its training product line to include e-learning alternatives for customers who use Borland tools and products to develop, deploy, and manage e-business applications. Borland and its certified Borland Learning partners will also continue to offer instructor-led training classes.
This product is a two CD-ROM multi-media instructional program for the JBuilder product line, and was produced in cooperation with Referentia Systems; an e-learning pioneer. This series incorporates a new line of interactive, self-paced training software created specifically to increase the productivity of Borland JBuilder 4 customers. The multimedia instructional CD is based on the one-week Borland JBuilder 4 instructor-led course, but will be available at a portion of the price. Topics on the CD range from getting productive with the IDE to developing multi-tier Java database applications with JBuilder 4.
Borland is currently working to offer complete training solutions for all of its major products. These subsequent releases will be announced and made available over the year in conjunction with new product launches.
