Genuity Fourth Quarter 2000 Orders Show Continued Growth Year-over-Year - company financial earnings information - Brief Article - Statistical Data Included

Genuity, a provider of network service platforms (NSPs) for e-business, stated that its fourth quarter 2000 new orders would be approximately 88 percent ahead of the fourth quarter of 1999. Orders from enterprise customers grew 15 percent over the third quarter of 2000, offset by a decline of 44 percent in carrier and ISP orders during the same time. As a result, Genuity's total new orders for the fourth quarter of 2000 were down 17 percent versus the third quarter of 2000.

Genuity's chairman and CEO, Paul R. Gudonis, offered these comments recently at the Salomon Smith Barney Media and Telecommunications conference in Phoenix. AZ.
