Information Superhighways Newsletter, July, 2001
TekInsight.com and IBM announced that TekInsight has joined IBM's Government Specialty for E-Business program, which is aimed at delivering e-government TekInsight solutions to state and local government entities. The two companies will market a bundled solution consisting of TekInsight's ePluribus applications and IBM's hardware and WebSphere platform, and will jointly pursue opportunities nationwide.
"Bringing TekInsight's e-government capabilities to IBM's Government Specialty for E-Business program will enhance our ability to offer a wide range of e-govemment solutions for state and local governments," said David White, director of IBM solution and business partner sales.
TekInsight builds Web-enabled applications that provide constituents access to government functions, such as paying parking tickets, accessing deeds, or registering for a business license. In addition, the company designs and builds traditional enterprise-level applications for internal government operations.
TekInsight's ePluribus Software Suite is a customizable Java-based application library that results in significant time and cost savings for government customers. This solution eliminates the need to build application software from scratch since between 65 percent and 90 percent of the functionality is pre-built, requiring only customization and branding for the individual government customer.
