Partnerware and USinternetworking Join Forces to Offer B2B Partner Relationship Management Solution
Information Superhighways Newsletter, August, 2000
Partnerware announced an agreement with USinternetworking Inc., an application service provider (ASP), to offer Partnerware's eXtended Enterprise 2000 (XE) application over the USi Global Services Platform (USiGSP). Partner relationship management (PRM) is an e-business initiative for companies that leverage multiple channels. Partnerware XE is a PRM solution that helps organizations quickly launch extranets to dramatically improve channel sales and marketing processes, facilitating real-time collaboration among companies and their partners.
The hosted solution enables companies to minimize up-front investment, yet still reap the benefits of a PRM solution. Deployment is accelerated, and the time and expense of an in-house implementation is eliminated. As a result, companies can quickly have a PRM solution tip and running, realizing business benefits immediately.
USi's expertise in managing Web-enabled applications coupled with its infrastructure make it the best choice for Partnerware XE. USi's managed application services, such as disaster recovery and storage area networks, offered as an integrated, continuously supported, flat rate monthly service via the USiGSP and its advanced network of data centers, provides Partnerware with top of the line ASP service.
USi is the only company in the ASP market that has built enterprise data centers and a global network specifically designed for delivering and managing Web-enabled business applications.
"The USi AppHost program enables Partnerware to offer its customers fast, high-quality, and highly secure access to its application over the Internet without having to divert resources to build its own ASP infrastructure," said Daniel Neal, vice president of Application Hosting at USi. "Partnerware's Web-based application is a perfect fit for the AppHost model, and we are pleased to partner with them to provide channel-focused companies with easy access to the leading Partner Relationship Management solution."
"Partnerware eXtended Enterprise is offered through an ASP model in order to provide companies a cost-effective and convenient means to access market-leading PRM functionality," said Eric Hills, president and CEO of Partnerware. "Selecting USi's AppHost solution for Partnerware's hosting infrastructure was the obvious choice, concerning its leadership in defining the emerging ASP model, particularly as it relates to delivering enterprise software applications over the Internet. The combination of USi's AppHost service with the Partnerware eXtended Enterprise application will provide companies with easy access to a world-class PRM solution, giving them rapid return on investment and accelerated sales growth through their partners."
