Information Superhighways Newsletter, August, 2000

Talk.com, a telecommunications provider leveraging the power of the Internet to bill and service its customer base, announced that it will continue its relationship with America Online Inc., as the exclusive provider of long-distance services to AOL subscribers through at least June 2001.

Talk.com will also continue to have the non-exclusive opportunity to offer wireless and local services to AOL subscribers.

Gabe Battista, chairman and CEO of Talk.com said, "The continuing relationship with AOL enhances Talk.com's existing strategy of selling local and long-distance services to residential and small business customers throughout the US."

"Concurrent with this agreement, we will accelerate our marketing investment with new partners to complement the high-volume AOL channel. Talk.com will maintain all of the on-line and off-line marketing channels, which have been successful to date," he added.

Barry Schuler, president of AOL interactive services said, "Talk.com has been a pioneer in demonstrating the incredible convenience the on-line channel has offered in everyday life. The company has been a valuable partner for AOL and allows us to continue to offer the kind of high quality services that AOL members have come to trust."
