Six Flags Selects Akamai EdgeSuite to Power Expanded Web Presence - Six Flags Corp. and Akamai Technologies Inc - Brief Article

Akamai Technologies announced that Six Rags, the world's largest regional theme park company, has deployed the Akamai EdgeSuite service to enable top performance and reliability of its Web operations on a global scale.
Six Flags is revamping its multimedia, content-rich Web site in conjunction with the company's 40th anniversary and subsequent on-line marketing campaigns. The site includes information about park promotions and attractions, and future enhancements will enable e-commerce and additional interactivity.
The Akamai EdgeSuite service offloads a significant portion of the site's rich content and distributes the load via Akamai's giobally distributed network, providing greater performance for end-users while simplifying the intricacies of Six Flags' Web infrastructure.
