Information Superhighways Newsletter, Sept, 2001
eBay and AOL have announced a new three-year marketing alliance that expands eBay's promotion across AOL's brands. The companies have had a successful relationship since 1997 and will collaborate on developing marketing solutions for eBay across a range of AOL Time Warner's on-line, print, and television properties.
These include Time Inc. magazines such as People, Fortune, and Time; Turner broadcast networks such as TNT and the TBS Superstation; and AOL Time Warner on-line properties, such as CNN.com and People.com. In addition, AOL will continue to serve as eBay's exclusive third-party advertising sales force, representing a significant portion of eBay's standard on-line advertising inventory.
