StarBand Communications Inc. announced that it has reached a significant milestone with 25,000 customers through all 48 states in the continental US -- from the Havasupai Indian tribe surfing at the bottom of the Grand Canyon to an investment broker in a New York City Park Avenue penthouse. StarBand is the nation's only two-way, high-speed, satellite-delivered Internet service provider.

StarBand also recently signed a three-year renewal of its distribution agreement with EchoStar Communications Corp. Currently, DISH dealers nationwide are selling the StarBand service both as a bundled offering with DISH network programming and as a stand-alone, high-speed Internet service. The number of DISH dealers selling StarBand service is expected to grow steadily throughout this year.
