MobilToys.com Purchases Sound Solutions

ISP Business, August, 2000

MobileToys announced the purchase of Sound Solutions Inc. Sound Solutions develops customized business management software packages designed to help mobile electronics retailers operate more efficiently.

The acquisition of the 11-year-old company lets MobileToys.com offer complete Internet-enabled management applications that benefit retailers and consumers by delivering real-time access to retailer inventory and scheduling information.

Effective immediately, MobileToys.com will oversee two of Sound Solution's most popular services: the TSS2000 Business-Management Software program and the MAID2000 Mobile-Audio Installation Directory. The TSS and MAID programs are specifically designed for -- and utilized by -- thousands of mobile electronics dealers nationwide. "They are the two most widely used programs in our industry," said Bob Fields, MobileToys.com vice president and COO.

MAID2000 is a comprehensive vehicle database application used to assist retailers with the sale and installation of mobile electronic products, such as car audio and security systems, and accessories like remote car starters and cruise control. TSS2000 is an extensive management program for scheduling, invoicing, inventory control, and bookkeeping.
