Vectris Accelerates Rapid Service Rollout With Entry Into Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma - Vectris Communications, internet service provider - Brief Article - Product Announcement

ISP Business, Sept, 2000

Vectris Communications, a regional provider of Internet and data networking solutions, launched high-speed DSL and Internet services to 13 cities in Kansa, Missouri, and Oklahoma on August 30, 2000.

"By expanding service into these key communities, Vectris provides local businesses high-speed DSL and Internet solutions that level the competitive playing field in the digital economy," said Cary Blazer, president and CEO of Vectris. "Businesses in these emerging markets can now access the Internet and enterprise networks at speeds up to 50 times faster than dial-up services. This enables them to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer service.

Balzer noted that when Vectris announces service in a city, it has the people and systems in place to process orders and install service. "So, businesses in these Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas markets can order high-speed DSL service from Vectris today," added Balzer.

Vectris DSL services were announced today for: Hutchinson, Lawrence, Manhattan, Salina, and Topeka, KS; Joplin, Springfield, and St. Joseph, MO; and Edmond, Medwest City, Moore, Oklahoma City, and Stillwater, OK.

From an aggressive service rollout that began in April 2000, Vectris service is now available in 75 cities across six states. The Vectris network will include over 165 secondary markets in Texas, Indiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin by year-end 2000.

Vectris offers services direct to businesses and through authorized distribution partners, Internet service providers, and other communications carriers.
