Openwave Systems announced that the company has delivered a mobile Internet solution based on WAP 2.0 to the KDDI Corporation for the deployment of its next generation au service, expected to launch in December. The WAP 2.0 specification is the next step in the evolution of the mobile Internet, enabling operators like KDDI to take advantage of advanced networks and new devices with enhanced graphical user interfaces.

As part of its end-to-end solution supporting WAP 2.0, Openwave also announced the availability of Openwave Mobile Browser, Universal Edition and Openwave SDK, Universal Edition.
