Vodafone tops 100 million customers - Business

The Vodafone Group has connected 100 millions Vodafone customers through its networks in 28 countries around the world, underlining its position as the world's mobile communications leader.

Sir Christopher Gent, chief executive of Vodafone, said, "Vodafone has increased its customer base more than tenfold in the past three years. This has been achieved through good sustained organic customer growth and successful geographic expansion. Last year we realigned our growth strategy from general market growth to a more targeted, segmented approach. However, in this financial year overall, customer growth has been stronger than anticipated and the recent Christmas quarter additions were in line with our expectations."
