Grayson Wireless Introduces Invex3G, the Network Design Solution for UMTS Network Planning

Wireless Internet, May, 2001

Grayson Wireless recently introduced Invex3G, a network design solution, to provide accurate planning and support deployment of UMTS networks. It will enable faster, more accurate decisions in the design and expansion of a network, according to Jim McDaniel, Grayson's European business development director.

The Invex3G network design solution was developed specifically for the European market to enable carriers to maximize the return of their UMTS investment.

Invex3G combines a CW test transmitter with an instrument-grade scanning receiver, making it an ideal test solution for mobile network design applications. The GMT-UMTS continuous wave transmitter is an outstanding value. It supports user-selectable output power levels up to 20 Watts, providing the flexibility for both indoor and outdoor propagation scenarios.

In conjunction with an internal GPS receiver, the scanning receiver provides location-referenced signal strength measurements using selectable averaging techniques. Measurements are viewed in real-time, and can also be post-processed with Grayson's Interpreter software. Data can be exported to industry-standard formats and system planning tools.
