Hutchison Telecoms' Australia Selects Key Component of ADC's Singularit.e for 3G Billing - Brief Article

Wireless Internet, July, 2001

ADC announced that Hutchinson Telecoms' Ltd. (Australia) will implement ADC's Singl.eView to bill for future 3G and existing services. The billing system will support all voice, data, mobile, and fixed communications products and services provided under Hutchison's Orange business.

Singl.e View will support Hutchison's existing wireless, aging, and fixed line network and reseller services. This will also allow Hutchison's existing wireless, paging, and fixed line network and reseller services. This will also allow Hutchison to provide future product and service innovation over its 3G network. The contract between ADC and Hutchison for the billing software and services is worth more than 10 million Australian dollars over five years and Hutchison plans to migrate all its customers to Singl.eView by January 2002.

In Hutchison's evaluation, which initially included 10 other billing systems, Singl.eView consistently outscored all other products based on functionality, flexibility, and scalability, as well as its ability to enable dynamic product and service configuration.

Singl.e View is especially suited for high demand multimedia and content environments that require extreme flexibility, scalability, and performance. Singl.eView will enable Hutchison to quickly create and manage a variety of broadband services targeted to customers' needs.

A key service provider in the Australian telecommunications sector since 1990, Hutchison's goal is to become the leader in both voice and data wire-free services. To support these services the company is building a high-speed wire-free network in the capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelalde.
