RSA Security Launches High-Performance, Wireless Security Software Designed for Seamless Integration with the Internet - RSA B Safe Wireless Core - Brief Article - Product Announcement

Wireless Internet, August, 2001

RSA Security announced RSA B Safe Wireless Core encryption software that enables developers to build wireless solutions designed to communicate seamlessly with any standards-based application or network. RSA BSafe Wireless Core encryption software is designed specifically for the constraints of the wireless environment and builds on RSA Security's success in developing and delivering reliable security solutions for leading wireless vendors such as Ericsson, Matsushita, Nokia, Openwave, and Symbian.

RSA B Safe Wireless Core encryption software is intended to maximize an organization's security investment by ensuring interoperability with the existing wired infrastructure, and offers developers the ability to rapidly add cryptographic security to wireless or embedded products. The RSA BSafe Wireless Core encryption software includes assembly-language optimizations for key processors designed to allow developers to use RSA-based algorithms at unprecedented speed on popular wireless platforms such as Symbian OS, Palm OS, and Windows CE.

In addition, MultiPrime RSA, RSA Security's implementation of Compaq Computer Corp.'s patented MultiPrime technology, is designed to process encrypting and signing operations as much as two times faster than previous methods, without sacrificing interoperability.
