Conexant Systems announced that its global system for mobile communications/general packet radio system has been selected by Samsung for use in several new handset designs.

Samsung also has incorporated Conexant's GSM solution in multiple GSM handsets. The handsets offered include form factors ranging from small folder type to slightly larger flip phones, with rich features such as a WAP browser, predictive text input, Chinese character input, IrDA interface, calendar, To-do list, multiple games, and an integrated MP3 player.
