"Politicians are like monkeys. The higher they climb the tree, the more revolting are the parts they expose. "

Gwilym Lloyd George, son of Britain's World War One Prime Minister, said this while he was a Cambridge undergraduate. He went on la climb the tree himself, becoming an MP and a government minister (1942-45 and 1951-54) before being created Viscount Tenby.
