Globeinvestor.com adds portfolio service

Money Digest, August, 2000

The Globe and Mail's stock site, globeinvestor.com, has added a portfolio service called Globe Portfolio, which allows users to track all of their investments.

The comprehensive tracking tool lets users monitor the current market value of their stocks, mutual funds, GICs, bonds, cash, real estate and jewelry all at once.

Unique features include: Daily performance information showing gains or losses through the day, month or year; complete integration, giving an overview of all investment products in one place; currency features convert all U.S. stock and U.S. dollar funds to Canadian dollars; index comparisons calculate the personal rate of return on an investment and users can compare their ROI to various indexes; and automatic distributions and adjustments adds mutual funds distributions, stock dividends and splits.
