Professor G Roland Kaye FCMA Deputy president

Roland Kaye began his career as a management trainee at the English Electric Co in 1967. He subsequently worked for several major food manufacturers before becoming a lecturer at Grimsby College of Technology in 1976. After holding academic posts at Humberside College of Higher Education and the University of East Anglia, he founded a centre to advise higher education institutes on the use of computers in teaching. He continues this work as co-director of the Learning Teacher Support Network for Business Management and Accountancy.
In 1990 Kaye became senior consultant with Management Development Associates, London. He is regularly involved in company projects and management development programmes for executives focusing on performance improvement and information management and strategies.
Since 1991, Kaye has been at the Open University Business School and in 1999 he was made dean. He is responsible for programmes, awards and financial control, and manages international relationships. He is on the executive of the Association of Business Schools; a director of Open University Worldwide; and director of the United States Open University.
Kaye has sat on many CIMA committees and has led two major syllabus reviews. He has been a member of council since 1996.
