The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's working group on bribery is inviting public comments on its consultation paper

Financial Management (UK), Feb, 2008

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's working group on bribery is inviting public comments on its consultation paper, Review of the OECD Instruments on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions Ten Years after Adoption.

Responses are welcome from all stakeholders with expertise in combating the corruption of foreign public officials in business transactions, including governments, charities, trade unions, public-sector organisations, companies involved in international trade, accountants, auditors, lawyers and academics. The aim is to provide inputs to the working group's review of the OECD anti-bribery instruments, with the objective of assessing the effectiveness of those instruments and determining possible steps to strengthen them.

Those interested in participating can download the consultation paper from http://snipurl.com/1xjr6. Comments should be sent to Christine Uriarte at the OECD anti-corruption division (consultation.antibribery@oecd.org). The deadline for comments is March 31.
