Harrison E. Cass Jr.

Harrison Cass Jr. has been named superintendent of the Columbus, Neb., Public Schools. He most recently served as superintendent of Vestavia Hills City Schools in Birmingham, Ala. Earlier, Cass served as superintendent in Grosse Ile, Mich., and associate executive director of educational services in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Richard A. DiPatri

Following a 30-year career as an educator in New Jersey, Richard DiPatri has moved into the top post of the 70,000-student Brevard County Public Schools in Viera, Ha. He spent the last three years as state district superintendent of schools for Jersey City, N.J. DiPatri earlier served as deputy commissioner of the New Jersey State Department of Education.

Clifton B. Dodson

The Buncombe County Schools in Asheville, N.C., the state's eighth largest district, has selected Cliff Dodson as superintendent. Dodson's 18-year career as superintendent includes the last seven years in the top schools berth in Union County, N.C. He earlier worked as an assistant principal, principal and science teacher.

Kathleen B. Gramet

In her 13th year with the 10,000-student North Syracuse, N.Y., Central Schools, Kathleen Gramet has been named superintendent. She spent the past seven years as assistant superintendent for instruction. Gramet began her career in North Syracuse as an elementary school principal and also served as director of elementary education and languages.

Martin E. Lewis

After three years as superintendent of the Latta Public Schools in Ada, Okla., Martin Lewis has assumed the superintendency of 1,100-student Bethel School District 3 in Shawnee, Okla. Earlier, Lewis served the Tecumseh, Okla., Public Schools as an assistant superintendent, a principal and a mathematics and computer science teacher.

Robert A. Winter

A former member of the AASA Executive Committee, Robert Winter recently moved into the superintendency of the Glynn County Schools in Brunswick, Ga. He previously served six years as superintendent in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Winter also had worked as district superintendent in Wayne Township and Montville Township, both in New Jersey.
