J. Duke Albanese

After 24 years of service to the Messalonskee, Maine, School District, Duke Albanese has been named commissioner of the Maine Department of Education. Albanese was district superintendent at the time of his state appointment and earlier was the districts social studies department chair.

Marilynn Baker

Following a seven-year stint as superintendent of the Cascade, Wash., schools, Marilynn Baker has been named superintendent of Educational Service District 123 in Walla Walla, Wash. Prior to moving into central administration, Baker worked as a principal and special education teacher.

Donna Cranswick

A steady climb up the ranks in the Creighton School District in Phoenix, Ariz., has led to the superintendency for Donna Cranswick. Since joining the district in 1985, she has served as curriculum director, assistant superintendent, and associate superintendent. Earlier, Cranswick worked in Cave Creek, Ariz.

Richard D. Eisenhauer

After serving as superintendent in Chadron, Neb., Roseburg, Ore., and Stevens Point, Wis., Dick Eisenhauer has moved into the top post of the 10,000-student Marysville, Wash., district Eisenhauer earlier was an assistant superintendent in Firth, Neb., and a principal at three schools in Kansas and Nebraska.

Barbara L. Hasson

Barbara Hasson serves as the new superintendent in the Central Dauphin, Pa., district. Since 1982, she had worked as superintendent of the Derry Township, Pa., schools. Earlier, Hasson was an assistant superintendent in the Woodland Hills and North Allegheny districts in Pittsburgh.

Jeff Kruse

The 300-student C&M Community School District in Massena, Iowa, has a new superintendent/principal in Jeff Kruse. He served for a year as high school principal and athletic director in Woodbine and was curriculum director of the Wall Lake View-Auburn district and principal in Corwith, all in Iowa.
