Linda Anast

After spending the past two years as assistant superintendent, Linda Anast has been elevated to the superintendency of the Michigan City, Ind., Area Schools. Anast earlier coordinated secondary school curriculum and staff development in the Highland, Ind., schools and held assistant principalships in two high schools in Indiana.

Ronald Cheek

Ronald "Woodie" Cheek, who assumed the superintendency of the Jenkins, Ky., schools last fall, recently was installed as president of the International Association of Pupil Personnel Workers, a 4,000-member organization. Clark earlier was superintendent in Campton, Ky., and director of pupil personnel for 20 years in Spencer County, Ky.

Bobbie D'Alessandro

After nearly three years as superintendent in Lee County, Fla., Bobbie D'Alessandro has moved into the top post in the Cambridge, Mass., district. In earlier positions, she directed management training for a regional network of 13 Florida school districts and was assistant director of the Southwest Florida Teacher Education Center in Fort Myers, Fla.

Betsy Graham

Following a four-year stint as superintendent in Nowata, Okla., Betsy Graham has assumed the superintendency of the Minco, OkIa., Public Schools. Her earlier postings included an assistant superintendency in Coweta, OkIa., and a principalship in Copan, Okla. Graham started as a teacher in the Ooalagah-Talala, Okla., schools.

Steven J. Pratt

The Colorado Association of School Executives have a new executive director in Steve Pratt. He had served since 1992 as executive director of the Academy School District in Colorado Springs, Colo., where earlier Pratt was an area superintendent and director of special education. He joined CASE as a member in the early 1980s.

Brian L. Talbott

The American Association of Educational Service Directors has a new executive director in Brian Talbott, who will fill the role on a part-time basis while continuing to serve as superintendent of Educational Service District 101 in Spokane, Wash. Talbott assumed the latter post in 1982 after working in the same capacity in Yakima, Wash.
