Virginia Collier
The new superintendent in the 4,700-student Brenham, Texas, Independent School District is Virginia Collier, who filled the same post in Lago Vista, Texas, since 1990. She also was an administrator in Irving and North East. Collier chairs the Texas Association of School Administrators' legislative committee.
Robert L. Paserba
Following a nine-year stint, as superintendent of the Butler Area, Pa., schools, Robert Paserba has assumed the superintendency in the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh. Earlier, he was an assistant superintendent in the Hampton Township, Pa., district and a professor at University of North Florida.
William J. Riggs
The Mount Vernon Community School Corporation in Fortville, Ind., has a new superintendent in William Riggs. Riggs previously spent four years as superintendent in Scottsburg, Ind., and three years as superintendent in Kentland, Ind. He also held administrative posts in Rochester, Ind., and taught math in Marion, Ind.
Paul R. Williams
After 14 years as superintendent of the 3,400-pupil Lakeview, Mich., district, Paul Williams has taken over the top spot of the 1,400-student Beachwood, Ohio, schools. Williams earlier spent four years as superintendent of Caledonia, Mich., Community Schools and was an assistant superintendent in Durand, Mich.
