PBS Online

School Administrator, Feb, 1999

Public Broadcasting Service recently launched a new comprehensive Web site for preK-12 educators called TeacherSource. The site (www.pbs.org/teachersource) provides educators with 1,000 free lesson plans, teacher guides and online activities, most designed to complement PBS television programs.

The site groups its resources into six subject areas--arts and literature, mathematics, science, social studies, health and vocation and TechKnow for teachers. It also offers a searchable database by subject, grade level arid keywords.

PBS also has two specialized Web sites for science and math teachers, PBS SCIENCELINE (www.pbs.org/scienceline) and PBS MATHLINE (www.pbs.org/mathline).
