Sidelight - McDuffie County - superintendent performs Elvis impersonation - Brief Article

School Administrator, Feb, 2004

Wearing his glimmering, rhinestone-studded outfit, Ed Grisham cuts a mighty entertaining Elvis impersonation for school district awards programs. Rotary Club gatherings and charitable events in and around McDuffie County, Ca., where he's the superintendent. Grisham, 57, grew up in New Albany, Miss., just 18 miles from Elvis' birthplace so he feels a certain kinship.

"I was a high school principal before I was a superintendent and we routinely did a talent show," he says. "At one of them I did the impersonation. The kids went nuts and I've been doing them ever since."
