Roger J. Lulow

After several months as the interim superintendent, Roger Lulow assumed the permanent post of superintendent of the Greenwich, Conn., Public Schools. He served as superintendent in the Willoughby-Eastlake, Ohio, district from 1983 to 1996 and earlier was deputy superintendent in Cleveland. He is a former Ohio state superintendent of the year.

Glenn W. McGee

Following a 12-year stint as a district superintendent, Glenn "Max" McGee has been named state superintendent of education in Illinois. He spent seven years as superintendent in Deerfield, Ill., and five years in the top post of the Aptakisic-Tripp School District in Buffalo Grove, Ill. McGee started as a 6th-grade teacher in Darien, Ill.

J. Bruce McKenna

The Dover Union Free School District in Dover Plains, N.Y., has lost its superintendent of the past 21 1/2 years to the superintendency of Hampton Bays on Long Island. Bruce McKenna, who is president-elect of the New York State Council of School Superintendents, earlier worked as an assistant superintendent in Salem, N.H.

Griff E. Powell

Griff Powell, who earlier in his career worked as a teacher and administrator in the Niles Township, Ill., district, has been named superintendent. He has worked since 1983 as a superintendent in Ramapo, N.Y., and West Chicago, Highwood-Highland Park and Grayslake, all in Illinois. He started as a math teacher.

Ana Tilton

Following a brief stint as superintendent in Soquel, Calif., Ana Tilton has joined the Edison Project as vice president of operating schools, responsible for schools in the western region. An educator since 1972, Tilton earlier served as assistant superintendent and director of curriculum, research and planning in Chula Vista, Calif.

Chad Woolery

A former superintendent in Dallas for three years, Chad Woolery has been named chief executive officer of the HOSTS (Helping One Student to Succeed) Corp., based in Vancouver, Wash. He joined HOSTS last year after serving as president of Voyager Expanded Learning. Woolery spent 30 years in public education.
