Patricia Pickles
The Portland, Ore., schools have a new chief academic officer in Patricia Pickles. Formerly superintendent of the 4,800-student North Chicago, Ill., schools for five years, Pickles also served as senior director for early childhood and elementary education with the Texas Education Agency in Austin. She worked in several Texas schools.
