Deborah D. Fite
The new superintendent of the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice School District, a statewide school system for incarcerated youth, is Deborah Fite. Previously she held positions of assistant superintendent for instruction, director of instructional technology and alternative school principal in the Newberry County, S.C., district.
Bernard Hamilton Jr.
Bernard Hamilton Jr. has assumed the position of associate commissioner of the office of supportive learning environments in the Kentucky Department of Education. Previously he served as superintendent of the West Point, Miss., School District. Hamilton also worked as a principal in the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nev.

Linda M. Peters
After two years as supervisor of curriculum and instruction at Donegal School District in Mount Joy, Pa., Linda Peters has moved into the superintendency of the district. Earlier she was an elementary principal in the Central Dauphin School District in Harrisburg, Pa. Peters also worked as a teacher of elementary, secondary and gifted education.
Mary Stansky
Following a four-year stint as director of curriculum and instruction for the Lower Camden County Regional High School District 1 in Atco, N.J., Mary Stansky has assumed the superintendency of the Gloucester City, N.J., district. Previously she was an assistant principal in Haddon Heights, N.J. Stansky also was a principal and music director.
