Cheryl A. Huisman

The Southern Cal Community Schools of Lake City, Iowa, have a new superintendent, Cheryl Huisman. She previously served as superintendent in Boone, Iowa. Huisman also held posts as principal in elementary and middle schools, administrator of an alternative high school, and supervisor of curriculum.

Mark F. Keen

After spending 24 years in the St. Charles, Mo., schools, Mark Keen has taken over the superintendency of the Westfield Washington Schools in Westfield, Ind. Keen served for 3 1/2 years as superintendent in St. Charles, where he also worked as associate superintendent and assistant superintendent.

Robert McConaghy

Robert McConaghy is now serving as superintendent in Littlestown, Pa., after working as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in Elizabeth-town, Pa. McConaghy also was elementary supervisor for the Columbia, Pa., Borough School District, where he received his first administrative post.

Tate Parker

Following a five-year stint as superintendent of the Murrietta Valley, Calif., schools, Tate Parker has assumed the top position in the Simi Valley, Calif., Unified Schools. He previously worked as assistant superintendent in the Chula Vista Elementary District and as consultant to the state education agency.

L. Chris Richardson

Chris Richardson recently assumed his. fourth superintendency, taking the reins of the Osseo, Minn., Area Schools. He had been superintendent in North Platte, Neb., since 1990. Richardson earlier held superintendencies in West Liberty and Malvern, both in Iowa, and worked as a high school principal.

Patricia Tillotson

Pat Tillotson has relocated from the East Coast to the West Coast to serve as assistant superintendent for human resources in the Elk Grove, Calif., Unified School District. Tillotson has served as assistant superintendent for human resources in the Greenville County, S.C., district.
