School Administrator, June, 2001

Mary Cronia

The Groton, N.Y., Central Schools have a new superintendent in Mary Cronin. She previously filled the superintendency in the Rutland South Supervisory Union Schools in North Clarendon, Vt. Earlier Cronin was an assistant superintendent with Shaker Regional School District in Belmont, N.H., and a high school principal in Plymouth, N.H.

Jill Jacoby

The Washington Association of School Administrators will have a new executive director in June 2002. Jill Jacoby will become executive director-elect next month. She earlier served as superintendent in Bethel School District in Spanaway, Wash., and assistant superintendent for curriculum and development in that same district.

Jane Kendrick

Jane Kendrick is the new president of the Mayerson Academy for Human Resource Development in Cincinnati, Ohio. She served for the past eight years as superintendent of the Anderson, Ind., Community School Corp. Previously, Kendrick was a supervisor in Hammond, Ind., and also served as president of the Indiana Urban Schools Association.

David Moscinski

After serving as the district's assistant superintendent for business, David Moscinski recently assumed the superintendency of the Freedom, Wis., Area School District. He previously was the district's director of special services and served as president of the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators.

Francis Murphy

The Regional Leadership Academy in Rochester, N.Y., has a new executive director in Francis Murphy. He has held a number of superintendencies, most recently in the Rome, N.Y., City Schools. Previously, he held the superintendency in Scarsdale, Williamsville, Owego, all in New York.

Orlo Shroyer

Orlo Shroyer has been elevated to deputy commissioner of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Jefferson City. Shroyer has been with the department since 1995. Earlier he worked as superintendent of both the Chillicothe School District in Livingston, Mo., and the Montgomery County R-II School District.
