Teacher Education Model - Brief Article

A new study by the Benedum Foundation examines how West Virginia University has reinvented its teacher preparation.
The Benedum Collaborative Model of Teacher Education graduated its first teachers a year ago. The primary features require that student teachers at WVU enroll in a five-year dual degree program and spend at least 1,000 hours working in one of 21 Professional Development Schools so they are grounded in both content and classroom practices.
