Installation Celebration

AASA Executive Committee Members and Officers were honored at the Annual Leadership Conference in San Francisco on May 2. President John Lawrence of Troy, Mo., assumed the presidency in November 2002, following Bill Hill's resignation. His term continues through June 30, 2004. President-elect Donald Kussmaul of East Dubuque, Ill., was unopposed in the recent election. New Executive Committee Members installed in May are Kay Royster of Peoria, Ill., Eugene White of Indianapolis, Ind., both of whom were elected by the membership, and Betty Poindexter of Carmel, Ind., who was appointed by President John Lawrence to serve a two-year term on the Executive Committee representing an underrepresented segment of the membership. Retiring members Mary Barter of Durango, Colo., and Estanislado Paz of Tucson, Ariz., were also honored for their service to the association.
