Accrediting guidance

School Administrator, June, 2005

The National Study of School Evaluation has released a study, "Accreditation for Quality Schools: A Practitioners' Guide."

The guide supports leaders interested in pursuing accreditation to improve student achievement by offering details on the three required components: standards for accreditation, elements of continuous improvement planning and quality assurance for excellence.

Self-assessment and discussion tools are included at the end of each chapter.

Copies of the report are available from NSSE at 800-843-6773 or www. nsse.org.
