"Guidelines for Retrofitting Bleachers," a document that provides recommendations for ensuring the safe renovation and use of school bleachers, is available from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
CPSC created the guidelines to be used by facility owners to address features that enable persons to fall from bleachers.
The guidelines are accessible at www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/330.pdf. For a print version, contact CPSC, Washington, DC 20207. Individual questions may be directed to Janet Buyer at JBuyer@cpsc.gov or 301-504-7542.
