Add to the crowded school policy manual another set of protocols: earthquake preparedness.
Administrators and teachers in the Sonoma and Marin county schools recently received training on handling the aftermath of an earthquake during school hours in a program sponsored by State Farm Insurance. Educators received training in pre-disaster planning and emergency trauma response.
Similar training is being offered this year to educators in a half dozen other northern California districts.
