Daniel D. Drake
Dan Drake has been promoted from associate professor to professor of educational administration at Cleveland State University. Earlier, he was community superintendent in Milwaukee, assistant superintendent in Sioux Falls, S.D., and a high school principal in Cleveland. Drake is a former AASA advisory committee member.
Roberta Ann Jackson
After seven years as superintendent in Charlevoix, Mich., Roberta Ann Jackson has moved into the top berth of the Richmond, Mich., Community Schools. Earlier, she was superintendent of the Edinburgh, Ind., schools, and director of vocational education in Washington Township and Kokomo Center in Indiana.
Brian Lockard
A 33-year career in the Carroll County, Md., schools has come to an end for Brian Lockard, now coordinator of the graduate school for school administration at Western Maryland College in Westminster, Md. Lockard spent four years as superintendent and started in Carroll County as an elementary school teacher in 1965.
Estanislado Paz
AASA's National Academy for School Executives has a new director in Stan Paz, who spent the last 7 1 /2 years as superintendent in El Paso, Texas. He previously worked as associate superintendent in Dallas and deputy superintendent in Tucson, Ariz.. Paz was Texas Superintendent of the Year in 1993-94.
H. Fred Pomeroy
After 29 years as a superintendent in six districts, Fred Pomeroy has become executive director of the New Mexico Coalition of School Administrators. Since 1995, he was superintendent in Los Lunas, N.M. Earlier, he held the top spot in Roswell, N.M. (twice), Tucumcari, N.M., Soldotna, Alaska, Silver City, N.M., and Las Vegas, N.M.
Ralph Wallace
Ralph Wallace has become superintendent of the Ridgefield, Conn., Public Schools following a six-year stint in the same post in Cheshire, Conn. He also was superintendent in Granby, Conn., for four years. Wallace also has experience as a middle school principal. He is a former Connecticut superintendent of the year.
