Data-driven decision making and hands-on Quality School Portfolio workshop

This workshop, presented by AASA's Center for Accountability Solutions in conjunction with AASA's chartered affiliate, demonstrates Quality School Portfolio (QSP), a free decision support system developed by The National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards and Student Testing (CRESST). QSP enables districts to disaggregate data to focus interventions and resources where they are most needed, meet reporting requirements and support accountability efforts.
Tuition: $375 per person
Group Discount: $325 per person to any district registering 3 or more participants for the same workshop at the same time

Award Winners Honored
This year's nine winners of the $25,000 national Discover Card Tribute Award scholarships were honored with a ceremony at Discover Card's headquarters in Riverwoods, Ill. John Lawrence, AASA's president-elect; Don Kussmaul, AASA executive committee member; and Gary Sharpe, executive director of the Missouri Association of School Administrators and secretary-treasurer of the Association of State Executives helped members of Discover Card's top management team present the awards. AASA Executive Director Paul Houston was one of the featured speakers at the event, along with Discover Card President and CEO David Nelms and Christopher Walker, 1996 national Tribute Award winner and one of this year's Blue Ribbon judges. Applications for the 2003 Tribute Award scholarships were sent to guidance offices of all U.S. high schools in August.
