Kathryn Baker

The Salem-Keizer Public School District in Salem, Ore., the state's second largest, has its first woman superintendent, Kathryn Baker. Previously she was superintendent in Newton, Kan., and earlier was assistant superintendent for elementary education in Lee's Summit, Mo. Baker also has worked as an elementary principal.

Nathan S. Greenberg

Following a four-year stint as superintendent in Cave Creek, Ariz., Nathan Greenberg has returned to New Hampshire as the superintendent of the School Administrative Unit 12 in Londonderry. He earlier served in New Hampshire as superintendent of Unit 52 in Portsmouth and Unit 56 in Somersworth.

Michael D. Johnson

Michael Johnson has assumed the executive director's post at the Illinois Association of School Boards in Springfield. Johnson spent the last nine years as superintendent of the Evergreen Park, Ill., Community High School District. Earlier, he served as superintendent of the Toluca and Wenona school districts, both in Illinois.

Charles Kyte

The Minnesota Association of School Administrators has a new executive director, Charles Kyte. Since 1989 he had been superintendent of the Northfield, Minn., Independent School District 659. Kyte previously was superintendent of the Eden Valley-Watkins Independent School District 463 in Eden Valley, Minn.

Judy Margrath-Huge

Judy Margrath-Huge recently moved into the role of chief information officer of the Seattle, Wash., Public Schools. She previously served six years as superintendent of the Adams Twelve Five Star Schools in Northglenn, Colo. Earlier, Margrath-Huge was an associate superintendent of the Littleton, Colo., School District.

Ben Martindale

After a 12-year stint as assistant superintendent of Gurnee, Ill., School District 56, Ben Martindale has moved into the superintendency of the district. Earlier, Martindale worked for the Special Education District of Lake County in Gages Lake, Ill., in a number of capacities as a teacher and administrator.
