Mark Those Words - quotes by school board President John Langan; Omaha, Nebraska - Brief Article
School Administrator, Oct, 2000
You could forgive John Mackiel, superintendent in Omaha, Neb., and a lifelong educator in the city, if he carried around in his pocket some recent public statements of his school board president on the occasion of an amended contract that limits the role of board members.
"We are not going to be nit-picking. We can't regulate what the public does, but we can regulate ourselves," school board President John Langan told The Omaha World-Herald. "We want to get some of the water out of his bucket. The bucket is too full."
