VANS OFF THE WALL EURO TOUR 2001

You know that electrifying feeling you get that pulsates through your body when watching your favorite band rock out, the one that makes you just want to scream because life is so good at that particular moment in time? Luckily, I got to spend five weeks over in Europe suspended in that moment on the Vans Off The Wall Club Tour. Headlining the tour was Ignite (Orange County), SNFU (Canada), Deviates (South Bay), Powerhouse (Oakland), and Venerea (Sweden). What a crazy adventure.

At the last show in London, Steve Whale from the Business came down to help sing "Maradona" with Ignite. It was very sad for me to watch; I had so much fun with 30 of the coolest big brothers that I never had growing up. We had shared gallons of beer and enough bread and cheese to last a lifetime. I'm still chuckling to myself about all the stories, mishaps, and kick-ass shows we had. Ignite's song "Burned Up" describes it the best; "Best friends I've ever known, best times I ever had."
