Paradise Valley, Arizona: Chalk up another public concrete skatep ark for Arizona with lights until 11pm, free, no helmet or pads required, no park monitors lurking, and no bmxers allowed - Prime Cuts - Brief Article

Thrasher Magazine, April, 2002

Chalk up another public concrete skatepark for Arizona with lights until 11pm, free, no helmet or pads required, no park monitors lurking, and no BMXers allowed. I did see one BMXer eye up the bowl, but a local skater who wants to preserve the coping and the smooth concrete for the future said, "Don't worry about the police kicking you out. I'll throw you out myself."

Good: Round walls, hips, smooth concrete, and good trannies throughout. Cody Boat and Colby Carter sightings ripping the park.

Bad: Lacks a bit of creativity on the design aspect. Other than that, who am Ito say? You will have to go and skate the park yourself because it's better than any public park where I live in California, where memberships and every pad in the book is enforced by non-skater kooks who work there.

Directions: Just outside of Phoenix. Look at the map and take route 51 (Squaw Peak Parkway) to Bell Road exit. Make a left, and at the second set of lights make a left on 40th Street. The entrance is 1/4 mile on the left, in the park next to the high school and swimming pool.
