Sorry Flip video premiere: El Rey theatre Los Angeles, CA May 22, 2002

Thrasher Magazine, August, 2002 by Steve Randall

UPON MY RETURN FROM LA, individuals craving nuggets of info regarding the Flip video bombarded me. Secretaries, nurses, and policewomen all were seeking confirmation of the video's gnarlitude. By the end of the first day I was sick and tired of depicting the event and the tricks that went down. Truthfully, I don't even remember most of them.

The premiere was a badass party and I was completely shitfaced, but I can confidently state that my condition was shared by practically everyone in attendance. The video itself was fucked up. Nothing was in slow motion, but instead was a constant cavalcade of gnar. Unfortunately, the crowd was not mentally or physically fit to handle it. When it ended, people just started puking all over the place. Then Johnny Rotten crawled on stage and started talking major amounts of shit while playing a game of skate against Clyde Singleton. I started for the door in desperate need of some fresh air but instead found myself slouched over the bar as the bartender informed me that drink s were now on the house... Malfunction...
