Warner Charles Harrison 12/28/59 - 5/29/02 - Brief Article - Obituary

Thrasher Magazine, Sept, 2002 by Eben Sterling, Steve Wright

Warner Harrison was the burly bass player for The Sick, a San Francisco hardcore band that headlined Thrasher's Fun Box Tour. Some readers may remember him from The Sick's Thrasher interview interview or their interview in SLAP. Wamer didn't skate, but he "got it." Through his involvement he reminded us that Thrasher, as a family, is bigger than just skateboarding.

Warner lived for two things: Music and recovery from drug addiction. In a world where harsh shit happens and so many of us fall victim to ourselves, Warner was a guiding beacon. He always had a smile and a kind word--"If you don't know what we're talking about, we're talking about unity." When you're out there struggling, it's important to know about people like Warner who changed their own lives and lived their dreams. His legacy will live on, but his presence will be missed. RIP.
