How do you feel about the new additions to the Darkstar squad?

I'm stoked on the new additions, the team is definitely complete.

What will it take to stand out in the crowd in 2003?

I'm going to do what I usually do: skate and have fun. If you look like you have fun on a board you stand out. That's my opinion though.

Is Darkstar going to make a video?

That's a secret.

Why don't you ride for Nadia anymore?

Stuff worked out better riding for Globe. Nadia was a bit too slow for me and we parted ways on a good note.

What adjustments did you have to make moving from Ottawa to HB?

It was always a dream to move to California but it was hard to adjust to the climate and the food. I got home sick but eventually got used to the lifestyle.

What's the biggest rail you ever tangled with?

A 12-stair, but nothing to write about. Stairs don't matter.

Do you think stair-counts are going to matter more or less in the coming years?

It's difficulty. How high, how gnarly, most important is how you pull it off.

What accounts for all the Canadians in the skateboard industry right now?

Canadians have a positive influence in the industry.

Do you Skate and Destroy or Skate and Create?

Skate and Destroy!

What tricks can't you do?

Kickflips; frontside kickflips.

How long will it be before every rail is just built with knobs already attached?

Very soon, Vancouver is already on it. Soon every city will catch on.

Will park skating replace street skating?

I hope not.

What's your highest contest placing?

I don't know. I'm not good at contests. I try, but it never works out.

Have you ever skated a pool?

No.

Do you think the kids want to see pool photos in the magazines? Do you?

I'm not hating on pool skating, but I think there should be a fair share.

Who's your favorite NorCal skateboarder?

I like Karl Watson and Matt Rodriguez. There are more but I'll stay with those two for now.

Who is Hoops?

Darkstar's filmer-gone-scumbag.

Zero video or Flip video?

Both.

Where do you see yourself retiring?

Somewhere tropical.

Do you see yourself in a team manager role sometime in the future, or do you have another career lined up after skateboarding?

I've got some ideas, but a team manager isn't one of them. School is looking good.

What do you think you would have wanted to do with your life if skateboarding didn't exist?

Pro athlete or school.

What do you think the next tradeshow contest will be?

I hope there's another handrail contest. The last one was fun except for all the babies that were in the contest. Skaters don't cry.

Who would have won if 'Nandez and Markovich had actually boxed?

I don't have interest for that kind of nonsense.
