Sand session

Thrasher Magazine, Oct, 2004 by Jacob Flores

I sent you all a letter in March when I arrived to Baghdad, Iraq. I asked you for magazines and I totally forgot that I wrote you, until a surprise package came--lo and behold there were four brand new magazines, not to mention a shit load of stickers. That was so cool. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It really made my day. I also received the July issue, so a really big thanks for that one. Keep 'em coming; it is my little taste of home and it totally gives me something to look forward to when I get back to Germany (my station), and when I get back to San Diego. Anyway, I just now got permission from my battery commander to skate here. There are just two little problems: my board broke and my kingpin also just snapped. I was wondering, can I get a hook up? I don't really care what kind of board it is, just as long as I can put trucks on it and skate it, that's all. I'd really appreciate it--skating is pretty much my life support out here.
